I just looked through my posts, and I used to be SO STUPID. OH MY PAJAMAS.
Anyhow, I need some tips on PUBLICITY. I love all my readers (especially Gabbie, Jovile, Megan and Lewis *wink wink*) but I need to branch out or whatever. If anyone is willing to give me a shoutout, or give me a link to a promotion website, it will be much appreciated xx
Where have you been? On twitter and skype?! I miss you! from lewis.
ReplyDeleteI can't use twitter or kype on my laptop at home so I have to wait untl I go to my auntie's house xx
DeleteWow Molly!!! Thankyou. Thankyou. Thankyou. I can't actually believe that someone mentioned my name in a 'thanks' note! I feel super honoured!
ReplyDeleteAnyways - onto the important stuff: Publicity... Hmmmmm... Tricky One...
I just saw the poll on the side of the page.
- your posts are usually spot-on (funny, interesting, realistic. Usually pretty varied)
- the layout is usually pretty organised and I find it easy to navigate, etc.
- the current blog design is EPIC and AMAZING and COOL and VERY YOU! No problemo there!
- Being the granny (nope, I'm actually 13 and eleven-twelfths) that I am I have no idea what you mean by 'pages', but I suppose it would be pretty awesome if you could create a page with links to the pages for every single one of your posts - I've never seen your first : (
- bom-bom-bom... publicity (as I'm sure you are already aware of) does need a bit of work
Here are a few ideas I have come up with to help you get even more readers : )
- tell all of your friends/family members to tell all of their close friends/family members to check out your blog
- tell people about it in a link on a comment (I came across your blog from way back when you posted your URL in the JW-Mag site!)
- employ a really expensive advertising agency to put it on billboards all over the world's capital cities
okay - so some of my ideas are rubbish (or unlikely to work...) but I hope I sparked your imagination!
Talking about publicity made me think about advertising which made me think about a really epic trilogy set in my city! Here are the web addresses to all the websites concerning them! (it is best to look at them in the order they are written!)
http://www.uqp.com.au/book.aspx/1087/Mosquito%20Advertising-%20The%20Parfizz%20Pitch (look at the links at the bottom to see the rest of the series)
http://www.mosquitoadvertising.com/ (the "official website" of the characters)
http://www.katehunter.com.au/ (this is the author's website. She is like this in real life! I've met her. Her daughter was on my little sister's friend's netball team)
Chill out though! I think it would probably be better to have a few faithful followers than lots of people who never actually read what you have to say!
Cheers!!! : )
Thanks for your advice :3 It's nice that someone listed the good points of my blog xxxxxx
