Aww, thanks sweetheart :3 xx
DeleteOh hi! Did this used to be sunshineslushiesandsupersuperfun? Yeah, well anyway you sound pretty cool! I love reading too and whenever someone asks me my favourite book I end up giving the 10 (and the rest!). Please try not to self-harm though - it would be so terrible for a person as beautiful (inside and out!) to hurt themself like that! I used to have low self-esteem until I gave up and decided I didn't give a crap what people though of me - and never looked back. Beauty is always portrayed in a certain light through trashy celebrity gossip magazines and television. Thye feed us a load of ship about beauty being:
ReplyDelete- really thin people
- people with long hair
- people with straight hair
- people with blonde hair
- people with teeth straighter than my ruler
- people with teeth whiter than my school shirt
- people with really big boobs
- people with no spots/pimples/zits (we're teenagers for goodness sake!)
- people that wear shorts practically shorter than their undies
- people that wear tops that expose their stomachs
- people that never do anything normal people do (sneeze, cough, fart, vomit, pee, poo, breathe, blow their nose)
This perception of beauty makes me want to up-chuk the really yummy pizza my mum made for dinner!
Beauty is ACTUALLY (and pay close attention, my friend!):
- self confidence (without being up yourself, of course)
- feeling comfortable
- wearing what makes you feel happy
- eating foods that make you feel good
- respecting your body by exercising, relaxing and keeping it clean (and doing other normal stuff to remove waste etc.)
- wearing clothes that you can walk/breathe in
- cutting your hair the way you want
- colouring (or leaving it natural) your hair the way you want
- being friends with who you want
- being kind
- being genuine
- being friendly
- being commited
- being happy
- embracing life
- not getting caught up in the materialistic rush of modern life
It's about respect, care, genuineness. Whatever you do you have a right to feel SAFE AND HAPPY - REMEMBER THAT!
If someone wants to feed you a load of rubbish; there is nothing stopping them - it only proves that they are NOT beautiful on the inside.
I am my school's ambassador for the abnormal. I wear a backpack so I'm a 'nerd' - so what. I do music as a class - who cares if no-one else likes it. I suck at sport - even though I'm last in every race and other bum-brians tease me I still give it a shot because it can be fun! I don't like that teachers that let the students get away with anything. I don't go the the school dances where I KNOW there will be police and pashing and inappropriate dress. I (along with my small group of accomplices) are ridding the school of normalacy and introducing the concept of NOT BEING A BLOODY SHEEP! It's fun and exciting and it can lead you all new places.
You don't need to fit a stereotype! There are plenty of people out there that are just like you - there mightn't be many - but when you band together you can make a difference.
I know I can't change someone's oppinion instantaneously - but I hope I have said some thought-provoking things.
NOW YOU GO GIRL AND BASH SOME BIG-BUMMED BULLLY'S (AND ALL THE OTHER STEREOTYPICAL PEOPLE'S) BUTTS!
It's not because of what anybody else ever does, it's just me. Thanks anyway babes :3
DeleteWell, remember you're great anyway! : )
DeleteP.S. Yay - you replied to my comment (it feels so great when someone does that!)
